All Saints’ Day 2026: Catholics Prepare to Celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints on November 1

Catholics around the world are preparing to celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints on Sunday, November 1, 2026, honoring all those who have attained heaven, including officially canonized saints and countless unknown holy men and women.

All Saints’ Day is one of the highest celebrations in the Catholic Church's liturgical calendar. It recognizes the lives, faith, courage, and holiness of those who faithfully followed Christ and now share eternal life with God.

This year, the solemnity falls on a Sunday, replacing the 31st Sunday of Ordinary Time. According to the Catholic liturgical calendar in the United States, the celebration begins with Evening Prayer on Saturday, October 31, followed by the vigil Mass of All Saints.

The feast also reminds believers that holiness is not reserved for a select few. Every Christian is called to live a life of faith, love, forgiveness, and service, following the example of the saints.

All Saints’ Day is followed by All Souls’ Day on November 2, when the Church especially remembers and prays for the faithful departed.

As Catholics celebrate this important solemnity, they are invited to renew their commitment to Christ and remember that the saints are inspiring examples of how to live the Gospel every day.

May the example and prayers of all the saints inspire us to walk faithfully towards holiness and eternal life with God.
